The site is currently UP!
The official address of the FNA is:
https://www.asstr.org/~puericil/main.html
If you are using a different address, it may be an outdated copy

Information updated April 2nd:
Asstr.org seems to be working properly again!
-------
Information updated March 26st:
You can currently access the site here:
https://www.asstr.net/~puericil/main.html
That address works and points to the real site, with the same IP asstr.org had. However, you will get a security warning because the security certificate still refers to asstr.org instead of asstr.net. You can bypass the warning and visit the site normally (in Chrome just click "Advanced" and then click "Proceed to www.asstr.net (unsafe)", in other browsers it will be something similar).
The lack of communication from the asstr admins means that I don't know if the certificates will be updated and this will become the definitive solution or if it's just a temporary solution, so I will not call it the official address until I know more, but for the moment it is a way to access the site without having to change the hosts file.
By the way, an update of the FNA was scheduled for March 28th, but I'm going to wait a bit more, until we have a clearer idea of what the solution to this DNS problem will be.
-------
Information updated March 21st:
Our host, asstr.org, has been down for several days. It is unknown when or if the problem will be solved, but the site admins are currently working on it.
In fact, the asstr servers are actually working fine. What is not working is the DNS resolution. This means that you can access all asstr.org right now, including the FNA and all other sites hosted there, if you add these four lines at the end of your computer's hosts file:
64.71.155.222 www.asstr.org
64.71.155.222 asstr.org
64.71.155.222 sftp.asstr.org
64.71.155.222 status.asstr.org
What you are doing by adding those four lines is telling your computer the IP address of asstr.org, because your computer is unable to find it on its own due to the DNS problem. If you don't know where to find your hosts file or how to edit it, you can get instructions here:
https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/27350/beginner-geek-how-to-edit-your-hosts-file/
If you are not comfortable changing your hosts file, that's fine, just wait for a definitive solution. I mention this temporary solution because I'm sure some of you will find it worth doing, if you are missing asstr.org. Eventually, if this problem with the DNS is not solved, I will have to move the FNA elsewhere. Keep checking this status page for more news.
Regarding the future of the FNA, I intend to keep it going. For the moment I'd like to wait for a few weeks to see whether the problem with asstr.org can be solved. If not, I'll explore other options, which won't be easy because I don't know if there are free hosts willing to host a site like ours, and I'm reluctant to use professional hosting for privacy reasons. But don't worry, I'll find a way. If you do have a suggestion feel free to contact me.
